Privacy

Your diary stays on your iPhone

Mongle never uploads diary content to an Aroido server, so support cannot view or restore it. If you opted into anonymous usage sharing, aggregate product events still contain no diary content or returning-user identifier.

Common questions

Quick answers

Where are my diaries stored?

Diary text and metadata are stored inside the app on your iPhone. Original photos remain in Apple Photos and are not copied into Mongle.

Why is a photo missing?

A referenced photo may be unavailable if it was deleted from Photos, removed from limited Photos access, or could not be downloaded from iCloud. Check Photos access in iOS Settings and confirm the original still exists.

How do I change permissions?

Open iOS Settings, select Mongle, and change Photos or Notifications access. Diary writing remains available when notifications are off or Photos access is limited.

How do I turn anonymous usage sharing off?

Open Mongle Settings and turn off Anonymous Usage Information. This cancels in-flight analytics requests and prevents future events; no queued analytics events are stored on disk. Previously sent events cannot be singled out by person because they contain no returning-user identifier. All Mongle features remain available.

What is included when I share?

Mongle creates a new diary-page JPEG after you choose Save Image or Share. It does not copy original EXIF, exact GPS coordinates, filenames, or every photo from the period.

How do I delete my data?

Delete individual diaries inside Mongle. This does not delete original Photos assets. Deleting Mongle removes its local app data, subject to your iPhone backup settings.

Can Aroido restore a diary?

No. Mongle has no account, cloud sync, or Aroido backup, so support cannot access or restore diary content.
